http://TheBoaters.TV First up: BoatUS Assistant Vice President of Government Affairs Ryck Lydecker has been elected Chairman of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Sport Fishing and Boating Partnership Council. The role of the Council is to advise the U.S. Secretary of the Interior on recreational fishing, boating and aquatic resource conservation issues. Moving on: If fishermen do not stop taking more fish than are hatched every year, they will eliminate one of the world's vital food sources and put themselves out of business in the process. USA Today recently reported that a New England couple, Henry & Lisa Lovejoy who used to be in the lobster export business are now making a go of an environmentally conscious seafood company. Next up: Three years ago George Saidah woke up in the middle of his sleep with an idea for his retirement: offer free sailing trips as a form of therapy for developmentally disabled kids and their families across the globe. He created a non-profit organization called Heart of Sailing. Lookout for Saidah at the Portland Oregon Boat Show where he is sharing booth space with the Vancouver-based Island Sailing Club. Finally: Profile Pick, Captain Brendan Butler and "Anchor Management." TheBoaters.TV airs M, W, & F. Also available on iTunes. Please Subscribe!
